Missouri

TIU has opted to become Certified to Operate rather than the former Exempt Status and is currently undergoing that process.  Both are equally legal under the Missouri Law.  We are not sure on the exact time frame, as one institution in Missouri has been waiting for over  22 years for the MCBHE to complete their evaluation.  TIU's application was submitted in 1996, and a initial review finally took place in November, 2003.

As of 2006, we are working on two entities in Missouri, one being GIU, Grandview International University, working towards Certification to Operate, and the other being TIU, The International University, which is re-qualifying as a Specifically Exempt institute.

This school submitted an application 22 years ago, and is still waiting for the review to be completed. 

This school has been granted full exemption from the State of Missouri to offer non-religious degrees at all levels, without restriction..

While the State of Missouri has stated they have incured many problems with this institution, their main site, www.tiu.com is now down.
